Kevis- This expensive hair loss treatment doesn’t work. It not only doesn’t work, it’s not easy to use. You have to use it for short and/or long-term basis. They have different hair loss application programs (female, pattern, chemically induced, or sudden hair loss- they need to know what causes of hair loss you have in order to best fit you with correct program), which you need to speak with rep before buying. So I spoke with a very “informative hair loss consultant” to decide which hair loss program was right for me. Well, of course she decided on the year program with an aggressive treatment start for women with sudden hair loss (meaning you use: 5 days a week for 6 months, and then 3 days a week for the last 6 months….) Duh, what a money scam. Anyhow, I ordered the 6 month program hair loss program- to start with, and $700.00 dollars + shipping later, I was on my way to stopping hair loss and re-grow my new hair.

A few days after ordering I get this very big package in the mail, and inside was a scientific looking contents (with multiple hair loss products in it). So, here goes, I take everything out of the box, all the hair loss shampoos, conditions, vials, powder, and directions, let me tell you, I felt like I was back in the 10th grade, trying to figure out what I just pulled out of the frog I was dissecting- I’m thinking - I’m doing all this for my thinning hair loss problem - there has got to be an easier way.

You get the 2 types of shampoos, 2 types of conditioners, an accelerator, a powder, and a liquid vial. Note: NOT ANYWHERE on their site do they list what ingredients is in this to stop the hair-loss or the thinning of your hair. This in itself should have told me something, but as a girl with a sudden hair loss problem, postpartum and postpartum hair loss, you don’t really think straight.

First off, this stuff smells so bad, your husband won’t want to come near you - forget about thinning hair making your self-esteem dwindle, this smell has taken that job over (and they say you can use this in the morning - after shampooing - and leave on all day - yeah right, please - lets smell like a skunk all day). I noticed that when I rubbed this hair loss liquid mixed with a mysterious powder (for the 2 suggested minutes) my hair was falling out more. So, I’m guessing it’s getting rid of all the hair ready to shed to make way for this new thick head of hair I’m going to have.

Shampoo day 1: What is this crap, you need half the bottle to make you feel like you actually have soap on your head to rinse off - ok maybe a half of bottle is exaggerating, but let me tell you, the dime size amount they suggest wouldn’t wash the hairs left in my brush after styling. They say “expect minimal lather” Huh - try nonexistent lather!!!

Hair Thinning Lotion/Hair Growth Booster: Don’t get this stuff on your forehead, you will have huge red marks all over for about a half hour. Hmmmmm, that should have been anther red flag suggesting maybe I shouldn’t be putting this stuff on my scalp. The only ingredient I found that could tell me anything; was it contains natural enzymes - and HUCP - whatever that is. AGAIN, I’m not a scientist. After a few months of using this stuff, smelling bad, losing more hair, discovering that it was making the knuckles on my hands grow hair, and feeling as if I hadn’t washed my hair in weeks, I started to get this red rash on my face… GREAT another problem to fix. At first I didn’t think it was from the KEVIS, so I went to the dermatologist, he gave me some cream, which didn’t work - so I started weaning out all the other beauty care products that I’m currently using, and low and behold, I stop using Kevis products, and the rash is gone. My eyes were no longer puffy and surrounded by a pimply rash (little red bumps at the corners of my eyes). So the point to this - don’t buy any hair products from a company that doesn’t list ingredients in their products. BE VERY WARY OF COMPANIES THAT DO NOT OFFER A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE - do your self a favor and save your money. The stress from all of this made me lose more hair, I guess it’s my loss…

The primary active ingredient in Kevis is hyaluronic acid, a substance in the body’s connective tissue that cushions and lubricates joints, and in other locations as well (e.g., eyes, sperm). It is used and tested in a variety of health care and beauty products, such as “anti-aging” products. Kevis has developed and patented a “high-molecular-weight version of hyaluronic acid” (called “HUCP”). AGAIN, THIS MEANS WHAT??? Your guess is as good as mine.
